Dear partners, Latino Unity Day (LUD) is back!

Please join us May 7th & 8th for our 14th anniversary of Latino Unity Day in Springfield. You can register at: bit.ly/LUD2024

What: Latino Unity Day, Driving Progress for Illinois.

When: May 7th (12pm-5pm) and May 8th (8:30am-10pm).

Where: Springfield, IL. On May 7th at the IL State Library, and on May 8th, at the State House Inn.

Who: If you are member of an advocacy organization, an association, a community-based organization, a state employee, a community leader or an individual that cares about Latino equity and civic engagement, Latino Unity Day is for you!

Cost: LUD is growing and so is the cost of hosting the event. For that reason, this year we are asking for a $25 contribution. Clients of community providers and students can attend for free. If you plan to invite any, please reach out to jmarco-paredes@latinopolicyforum.org to receive a promo code and we will gladly waive the fee for them.

What is included with the ticket: : Lunch on May 7th, and breakfast & lunch on May 8th are included with the registration fee.

Accommodations: Enjoy a discounted rate of $124/night plus taxes at the State House Inn. Make a reservation calling the Inn at 217-528-5110 and ask for the group discount for Latino Unity Day.

Agenda: On May 7th we will have our community “diálogos” to learn from advocacy partners and other groups about their legislative priorities, what bills are they working on, how will they benefit our community, and how we can support them in their advocacy efforts. On May 8th, we will have the IL. Latino Caucus panel breakfast, the luncheon with elected officials, and legislative visits. More information on the Eventbrite.
